Canciones que me recuerdan... (1)
¡Hola de nuevo a todos! Tras una (GRAN) temporada sin escribir nada, vuelvo a la carga con algo bastante original.
¿No os ha pasado nunca que estáis oyendo una canción y os viene un tema particular a la cabeza? Me temo que a mí me pasa con TODAS las que escucho... eso me pasa por ser fan de tantas cosas. En fin, a lo que iba... El Doctor no se queda atrás a ese respecto. De tantísimas canciones que conozco, a veces oigo alguna que me recuerda terriblemente a algún tema relacionado con el Doctor o algo que lo rodea. En este caso os traigo un par cuya letra parezca escrita para él y otras que parezca que hablen de su (melodramática) historia con Rose. Suena un poco a chorrada, pero es divertídisimo.
Por supuesto, hay muchas más... Las sugerencias son muy bienvenidas.
Pues sin más, os invito a echar un vistazo a estas letras, me temo que para los más versados en inglés (nunca os fieis de una traducción automática)... y a ver si os pasa como a mí. Por supuesto ya de paso, buscarlas en Youtube o similares no estaría mal. Siempre es mucho mejor oírlas :)

Ideas, Ideas, Ideas
Entre la lectura de algunos de los comments del post dedicado a “Dalek Invasion of Earth” y una conversación vía msn messenger con Usagi, se me ha ocurrido la idea para este post, un mero divertimento al que os animo a participar.
Básicamente, me he puesto pensar que historias o situaciones me gustaría ver algún día futuro en Doctor Who:
Susan, come back!1. El Regreso de Susan Foreman: Claro ha quedado que no soy el único al que le gustaría ver de nuevo a la nieta del Doctor, ya sea interpretada una vez más por Carole Ann Ford (con la gracia inherente que tendría lucir mayor que su abuelo) o regenerada y en manos de otra actriz. Teniendo en cuenta solo el canon estricto de la serie, lo último oficial que sabemos de Susan es que se quedó en la Tierra al final de “Dalek Invasion of Earth”. Presumiblemente sería llamada a filas para la Time War, y su suerte definitiva queda en entredicho. Que el Doctor la crea muerta no cuenta en última instancia, no sería la primera vez que se equivoca en temas así. Y teniendo en cuenta esa breve materialización de Gallifrey en “The End of Time”… ¿quién dice que Susan (y seguramente algunos otros Señores del Tiempo) no aprovecharon para salir del planeta en esos minutos escasos?
Vale, esta chica impone respeto...2. Cameos/Reapariciones de Viejos Compañeros: Un poco en relación con el punto anterior y teniendo en mente ese regreso de Sarah Jane Smith en “School Reunion” ¿a qué no estaría mal volver a ver a algún antiguo compañero/a del Doctor? El Brigadier no hace mucho reapareció en la serie de Sarah Jane y la verdad, es que es un personaje que bien se merecía un regreso en la serie madre al menos en un episodio. Eso por no mencionar a gente como Ace (que era el carisma encarnado… los daleks temen los bates de baseball gracias a ella), Time Ladys como Romana o personajes a los que, como Peri, no se les hizo justicia del todo en su época y que bien podrían ver atados algunos cabos sueltos.
Benny Summerfield: la Indiana Jones del siglo 26.3. Cameos/Apariciones de Personajes del Universo Expandido: El Whoniverso al margen de la serie de TV es grande, MUY grande, y hay en él una cantidad de personajes abismal que podrían hacerse encajar en el canon de la serie sin mucho problema (posibles líos de derechos aparte). Fan-favorites como Bernice ‘Benny’ Summerfield (que fue compañera del Séptimo y Octavo Doctor en varias novelas), Irving Braxiatel (otro Señor del Tiempo del que se ha insinuado podría ser el hermano del Doctor), Abslom Daak (este sería todo un espectáculo, y si habéis seguido este blog, ya le conocéis) o villanos como la Faction Paradox (¿Facción Paradoja?) podrían dar mucho juego.
Miedito.4. El Advenimiento del Valeyard: Mirad, sobre este solo os diré que deis un ojo a su entrada en la TARDIS Index File. Tened en cuenta cuantas encarnaciones del Doctor llevamos. Haced cuentas. Temblad.
¡Nada que no arregle un buen rediseño!5. El Regreso de los Cybermen Mondasianos: O lo que es decir, los Cybermen originales güenos de toa la vida, y no esos advenedizos extradimensionales Cybus Cybermen. Con estos no estaríamos hablando de cerebros extraídos e integrados en una armadura. Los Cybermen de Mondas deberían ser una unión de tejido vivo y metal que con la mejora de FX de hoy podrían dar para unas buenas dosis de body horror. Si los traen bien de vuelta tienen mucho potencial para el malrrollismo y podrían volver a ser una amenaza seria si nos olvidamos de esa ridícula debilidad al oro.
¿Estos tres armándola juntos? EPIC WIN.6. Un nuevo especial tipo “The __ Doctors”: A ver, ¿a qué una historia que reuniese en pantalla a Eccleston (9º), Tennant (10º) y Smith (11º) os gustaría? Y esos como mínimo, que siempre podríamos tener a McGann (8º) de propina. Y ya no digo nada si algún veterano como Peter Davidson (5º) se anima para algún cameo a lo “Time Crash”. Una historia de ese calibre bien podría ser un especial navideño o un episodio multiparte de final de temporada… está claro que para juntar a más de un Doctor hace falta algo grande.
¿William Hartnell a los veintipocos = El Doctor a los 80 y pico?7. Ver al Primer Doctor: Pero no con un actor anciano caracterizado a la Hartnell como muy bien hizo Richard Hurndall en “The Five Doctors”, no… esto es una idea loca que se me ocurrió en la previamente mencionada conversación de messenger y que podría tener relación con el punto anterior: ¿Y si en una reunión de Doctores pudiésemos ver al 1º pero en su época de juventud como estudiante de la Academia de Gallifrey? Sabemos poco o nada del personaje en esa etapa de su vida (no, los fanfics no cuentan). Si un guionista encontrase la forma de hacer una aparición así viable sería como mínimo algo interesante de ver.
Bueno, estas son algunas de mis idas de olla… Seguro que alguno de vosotros puede superarlas ;)
